 Research Interests:  Dr. Calhoun’s research interests are in fluid dynamics; atmospheric sciences; boundary layer; wind energy; remote sensing.  He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Meteorological Society, American Geophysical Union. He is a member of the Validation and Verification Committee for Department of Energy’s Chem/Bio Salt Lake City Urban Field Experiment. Dr. Calhoun has served as a reviewer for prestigious journals and federal agencies. Dr. Calhoun’s honors include honorable mention at the 12th Symposium on Boundary Layers and Turbulence in 1997 and Summer Colloquium Fellow, NCAR in 1995.
